Mr. Smith began his career at Bank of the West, working closely with institutional clients and assisting with account management. He advised both Private Equity and Corporate clients on a range of transactions including acquisition financing, refinancings, dividend recapitalizations, stapled debt financing, and restructurings across a variety of sectors. He then joined Arthur Andersen & Co where he spent 10 years in public accounting. Mr. Smith brings experience advising on IPOs, along with general mergers and acquisitions. He has advised on both sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions on 80+ transactions. Mr. Smith is a nationally recognized speaker offering CEOs the opportunity to explore the capital markets indirectly through a series of engagements.
